We felt this glee upon uncovering the raw beauty of these oak bases. Their fresh-cut tops and bottoms contrast the gray aged faces of what was once a shipping palette. It’s hard to believe a wood mostly known for mission style furniture, could be a cast-off of industrial transport.
It’s this salvaged nature that makes the word pairing so inspirational to us. We see the cherry red script rising up as if it’d been hidden beneath the surface of the weathered exterior.
We feel we’ve crafted the perfect tabletop reminder of this inner hope that lives deep inside of all of us. We would love to share this limited run tabletop affirmation with you.
We’ve laser-cut our custom script in 3mm thick solid American basswood, painted it candy-red, and inlaid it into an upcycled block hewn from a used oak shipping palette. Every one of our footlong affirmation signs is handmade here in our Southern California design studio (aka our home office & backyard shop).
